Wallaga Beach

Wallaga beach is a majestic ocean beach. Nearly 5 kilometres long, and intersected by a rocky intrusion, Wallaga beach is a rugged surf beach flanked by wide green pastures and wetlands including Little Lake and Bobundara Swamp. Access is from the Princes Highway at the Tilba Cemetery turnoff, via Sherringham Lane and Haxstead Road which will lead to the cemetery and the northern side of the rocks and the lake.

 

The beach is not patrolled with waves averaging 1.5m. It offers good surfing and fishing but is considered hazardous for swimming. The long open beach is ideal for walking. There are no facilities.
